The author captures the beauty and idiosyncrasies of Mobile. Don't think it strange. It's all a part of our charming ways. Carrie and Ashland have been written well. Mia was as well, but I would have liked a little more of her past before... not giving a spoiler. The end was too my liking, but too abrupt. Very good book, kept me engaged and I read the series in a weekend. I did not get much housework done, however I really enjoyed the books. They are more like small novella then a book and can be a bit pricey at 2.99-4.99 each.
At last, an easy uncomplicated plot comes to an end. Pleasant reading, needing no intelligence, merely entertaining to delve into the character's lives lightheartedly within a fantasy world whilst a magnificent plantation home looms. A well described and thoroughly uninvolved novel.
If you love mystery, romance, and the afterworld, you'll live this book. M.L. Bullock has created a series that you just cannot put down. Even when it's done, you want more, so just buy the whole series once and you won't have to go back for more.
I liked this series. Each book was a little short, but I read them all back to back. The story was really interesting, especially since I work at a museum and am a researcher myself. It was a fun, light read.
I love ghost stories! This one is great just like a southern ghost experience. I am reading the second book now and like it also. I do not like stories with evil entities. Would recommend this series to people who like ghost stories. BOO!

The story moves at a satisfactory pace and the characters are likable and easy to identify with.
They are quick reads and I couldn't wait to start the next book.
My first introduction to M.L.Bullock was her Desert Queen Series. I thoroughly enjoyed her writing and once I finished that series I decided to give her Seven Sisters Series a try. I'm getting ready to read book 4. I love the main character and her quirks! I've never been to the south (would live to visit some day though) but I imagined it just as she described! I'm a huge history buff and love hearing ghost stories, so this book gave me both and more!!! Easy read and a great page turner!! I recommend reading!
